da realsbet: West Ham United fans on Twitter have been ripping into manager Manuel Pellegrini after his latest controversial comments.
Speaking to the club’s official website after Saturday evening’s damaging home loss to Everton at London Stadium, the veteran boss claimed that his team still has a chance to finish seventh in the Premier League, to the disdain of supporters.
He also articulated that his players had decided that it wasn’t going to be their day early on and gave up following the Toffees’ two early goals, another comment that upset the Claret & Blue Army.
With three points and a sixth home triumph since Christmas, the Hammers could have propelled themselves into seventh, but yet again spurned an opportunity to be the best of the rest in the English top-flight.
The way the 65-year-old gaffer spoke after the match just added insult to injury for the fan base as they sent messages of disapproval flying around the Twittersphere, including “we ain’t getting 7th, mate”, “I’m not comfortable with a single word of this statement” and “Nice April Fools’ boss.”
In this era of ‘big 6’ dominance, has finishing 7th become as good as winning a trophy? The Pl>ymaker FC squad have their say in the video below…
