da apostebet: According to Foot Mercato, Liverpool have offered a five-year-deal to Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa.
What’s the Story?
da fazobetai: Angel Correa may be making his way to Merseyside this summer, with Liverpool reportedly offering the young star a five-year-deal.
However, Atletico Madrid’s well publicised transfer ban could well inflate the price of the 22-year-old to around £25million, a fee that Liverpool may be unwilling to pay.
With Correa reportedly tempted with a move to the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp may act to land a player whose career started with so much promise.
How good was Correa last season?
Inconsistent. Despite featuring 45 times for Atleti during the 2016/17 campaign, Correa never managed to hold down a starting spot and most of his appearances were brief cameos from the bench.
The Argentine did manage to net eight times in all competitions but would be disappointed with that return considering his minutes on the field.
Correa, who is valued at £15.3million by Transfermarkt, has so far failed to live up to the expectations placed on him as a teenager. However, a move could be just the thing he needs to revitalize his career.
Would Correa be a good signing for Liverpool?
Angel Correa’s arrival at Anfield would likely mean a departure from the attacking ranks, whether that be Divock Origi, Danny Ings or Daniel Sturridge. While Correa is arguably better than one of these three strikers, he is a gamble considering his inconsistent season. Liverpool may be better off sticking with the men with significant Premier league experience.
