The Elland Road outfit brought the Spaniard to the club in the summer of 2017, and it has certainly been something of an up-and-down time for him since as he is in charge of their recruitment.
There has been some disapproval at times that when it comes to that particular aspect that there has been a focus on the academy rather than for the first team with a number of youngsters arriving, but that decision appears to be paying off following the latest major development.
Orta played his part in bringing talented individuals like Leif Davis, Ryan Edmondson and Aapo Halme to Leeds since being appointed, with all of those aforementioned players featuring for the first team after shining for the U23s.
While one fan wrote “but Victor Orta is a fraud” sarcastically after the Carlos Corberan’s men took the lead, the former Boro man also got plenty of praise post-match for the influence he has had.
