da doce: In every paper and on every website there is a mention of West Ham and strikers.
da fezbet: For Hammers fans it is becoming frustrating that a number of supposed targets have already decided on their next career move not being the Olympic Stadium.
The West Ham board want a marquee signing and they want it as quickly as possible, and it looks as though the club are now combing through ‘List B’, after no one on ‘List A’ rushed headlong towards the East End of London.
There is a glimmer of light though, as certain players are said to be reciprocating the interest shown in them and’ although the players are not massive headline names, they may well provide the club with the value for money, which they crave.
With new strikers being mentioned and two of the current three being linked with moves away, it looks like the Hammers will have a new look strike force, but who is realistically filling the gaps? Here are FOUR names we think Slaven Bilic will be working with in 2016/17…
Carlos Bacca
The deal for the Colombian is said to be close and he will be the marquee signing that the club are looking for.
His club, AC Milan, are supposedly ready to sell and as the player wants European football, which the Rossoneri can’t offer, the 29-year-old might be attracted to east London.
With an impressive scoring rate wherever he has been and 33 international caps, the latest coming in the recent Copa America, this could be quite a coup for the claret and blue, and Bacca will almost certainly lead the line.
Andy Carroll
It seems as though Carroll is staying with the Hammers and that’s good news all round.
The chaos-causing striker, when fit, came on as a sub and made an impact just when it was needed several times last year. His hat-trick against Arsenal in April reminded the country what an in-form Carroll is capable of and Bilic will want to keep the Geordie in the claret and blue as the former England man gives the boss options up front.

Mario Gomez
Not as unrealistic as you might imagine.
Bilic is said to be very interested and Fiorentina want to sell. The problem surrounds Bilic’s former club, Besiktas again. West Ham, as a club, don’t want to start to annoy the Turkish heavyweights, especially with Gokhan Tore on loan. The Istanbul side are thought to be keen to keep their loan star, and won’t be happy to see him go elsewhere.
At 31, and with his experience, West Ham could do worse than Gomez.

Wissam Ben Yedder
The last striker and the one that Bilic would use as back-up and for cup games. The 25-year-old striker joined Toulouse in 2010 and has scored 71 goals with 21 assists in 174 appearances for the club.
Ben Yedder had his best season of his career last term, finding the net 23 times in 41 appearances in all competitions. For around £6m, he could mark the completion of a formidable strike force with Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia likely to leave and Emmanuel Emenike already gone.
