da fazobetai: The Daily Mail are reporting that that Joe Hart could find himself back in Manchester next season, but this time in the red half for Jose Mourinho’s United.
What’s the story?
da betsul: Once again the rumours surrounding the departure of David De Gea to Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer are rife. If the move is to finally go through, the report claims Manchester United will look to Joe Hart as the Spaniard’s replacement between the sticks.
Hart has spent this season on loan at Serie A side Torino having fallen out of favour under City boss Pep Guardiola in the early stages of the season. He is the first English keeper to play in the Italian top flight since it’s inception in 1929.
A Match for De Gea?
De Gea has been named as United’s fan’s Player of the Season for the past three years, and has come to the Red Devils’ rescue on many occasion in what has been a worrying few years at Old Trafford.
There will be few, if any, United fans who will be pleased to see De Gea leave the club but a move back to his native Spain does appear to be looking increasingly likely.
So is Hart a reasonable replacement? According to statistics from Squawka, probably not. Hart has conceded over twice as many goals per game compared to De Gea this season (1.63 to De Gea’s 0.8), and has kept less than half the amount of clean sheets, 0nly five to De Gea’s impressive 12.
While Hart has had certainly more to do behind a weaker back line than United’s, the Red Devils would be taking a gamble on a player out of confidence and out of form if they were to sign the England number one this summer.
