da aviator aposta: Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers broke the news on Wednesday that striker Leigh Griffiths was taking a break from football for “a number of months” because of issues off the pitch, and all of us at Football FanCast wish the Scotland international the best in his recovery.
The absence of the 28-year-old could have a big impact on the Scottish Premiership leaders in the coming days and weeks, with the Bhoys already short up top thanks to the sale of Moussa Dembele on the final day of the summer transfer window, and no replacement arriving.

Despite suffering from injury troubles this season, Griffiths still made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Glasgow giants before Rodgers’ recent worrying update, and he was a key player for them in the centre-forward position along with record signing Odsonne Edouard.
While the likes of Scott Sinclair and teenager Mikey Johnston have filled in as strikers at points this term, and James Forrest potentially could be able to go given his from in front of goal from out wide, there is no doubt that an injury to their French talisman would leave them in dire straits ahead of the busy festive period and with the transfer window not re-opening until January 1.
How would Rodgers deal with an issue?
Should the worst happen in the coming matches and Edouard does suffer an injury, then the former Liverpool boss could choose to use Sinclair or Johnston, but he would probably be better off opting for Tom Rogic instead.
The 6ft 2in Australia international has the same height and physique that Edouard does, while he has shown that he is a good finisher with 34 goals in 156 appearances, as per Transfermarkt, in all competitions for the Bhoys.
Given the increased competition in the attacking midfield roles with the likes of Sinclair, Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Ryan Christie, although the injury he suffered against Red Bull Salzburg could keep him on the sidelines for some time, it would also make sense to use Rogic in a different role to accommodate those players behind him.
