da casino: Spurs are a bit up and down at the moment, much to the frustration of their fans.
da wazamba: The Lilywhites started the season with a win and two draws before the international break and looked like they had begun to click after it as they humbled Stoke 4-0 on their own turf.
Hope that they would challenge near the top once more began to increase after that but with a surprising loss to Monaco at Wembley in the Champions League, some of that momentum has been lost.
Mauricio Pochettino will want to see his team get straight back on track after that setback and arguably they have the perfect game to do so on Sunday, a home game against perennial strugglers Sunderland.
The Black Cats have once again gotten off to a pretty poor start in the league and with Spurs a bit of a wounded animal, there could be a lot of goals.
We expect Spurs to win the game easily, particularly with this line-up…
Hugo Lloris – GK
Lloris is world class and will be hoping for a quiet day on Sunday.
Kyle Walker – RB
Walker is ever-present in Spurs’ team at the moment and should start once more this weekend.
Jan Vertonghen – CB
Vertonghen is a nailed on starter barring a late injury as he aims to keep Jermain Defoe out.
Toby Alderweireld – CB
Like his compatriot, Alderweireld will be at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.
Ben Davies – LB
This game might be too soon for Danny Rose so Davies should play against his old side.
Eric Dier – DM
Dier has been a key figure this season and will start once again.
Mousa Dembele – DM
The Belgian returned to action against Monaco and should get more minutes against Swansea much to the excitement of the Spurs fans.
Erik Lamela – RAM
Lamela will once again cut inside from the right and try to thread balls through and pop off shots with his left foot.
Dele Alli – CAM
Alli scored against Stoke and is far better suited to playing higher up the pitch than in the holding role he is sometimes asked to take on.
Christian Eriksen – LAM
Like Lamela, Eriksen will cut inside to cause Sunderland problems as he looks to lay on chances for the frontman.
Harry Kane – ST
Kane scored against Stoke last weekend so expect them to start flying in now this season, especially against the Wearsiders.
